I’ve decided to start yet another blog. Another blog, you ask? Why, I didn’t know you already had one. Yes, indeed, I have a few already, but they’re interest-specific, and not well suited for consumption by the general public. Perhaps maybe you did you come here expecting to read about motion graphics and dementia? I didn’t think so.
Tomorrow is the start of a new journey. My boyfriend, Jef, and I will be going to Quartzsite, Arizona, to research living in an RV. The first thing we’ll do is set up camp at the Rubber Tramp Rendezvous, a gathering of vandwellers, mountain people, and nomads. We’re hoping to learn about the pros and cons of the different kinds of rigs, tips for being stealthy, and how to make a rig more sustainable (e.g., solar panels).
We’re also planning to visit the RV show, which boasts that it is “The Largest Gathering Of RVers in the World”. Their website leave a lot to be desired, so who knows what we’ll find. Vendors selling the latest and greatest RV gadgets? RVs?
My mom suggested that one day I should write a book. I assume that’s because she thinks my life has been pretty interesting. Then again, it is my mom. So the blog will also be a way for me to jot down some anecdotes from my past 32 years of living, in addition to documenting my conversion from a house dweller to an RV dweller. Maybe someday I’ll organize them into book form.
