I know I’m jumping around a lot, going from sound deadening, to bed designs, and now to prepping for bed liner, but that’s the way I roll. It’s difficult to stay focused on one task around here, considering that I bounce between San Francisco and Los Angeles, weather has to cooperate for certain tasks to be completed, and Gypsy must be parked in the one coveted parking spot in front of the condo in order for me to use any tool that requires electricity. Oh, and I have the attention span of a ferret.
In preparation for applying bed liner, I spent the day scrubbing Gypsy’s floor, rubbing everything down with MEK substitute, and roughing up the surface. After a final MEK wipe down and masking off areas that shouldn’t be painted, I should be ready to finally dive into the bed liner tomorrow. It’s kind of a shame that the floor of the van is finally clean enough to eat off of, and less than 24 hours later it’ll be covered in gooey black bed liner. So it goes.
In other news, Sake has pretty much fully bounced back from her run-in with the coyote. She has been playing and bossing me around like usual. The foam collar that I made for her is working mostly well… She wears a breakaway cat collar with it because if she starts fussing with the contraption I’d rather that she wriggle out of it than strangle herself with a fixed collar. I don’t know how she managed to do this.
