Well, almost. The ceiling and walls are done, but the floor has yet to be started. Another 200 square feet of Low-E insulation should be arriving on Thursday. I’ll use that to create a template of the floor, and then I’ll trace the template onto plywood for the subfloor. The idea is to get the subfloor ready to install prior to laying down the sound deadening and insulation on the floor so that I won’t have to walk all over those layers in the process of making sure that the subfloor sits properly.
I’m really happy to have mostly finished the insulation. It was kind of a pain working around all the ridges in the high top, but I think it will be worth it. Fourteen cans of spray adhesive have gone into installing the insulation so far, and at 1.1 lbs per can, that’s a total of 15.4 lbs. That’s more than the insulation itself weighs.
