Jef and I have a postulate: Anyone who doesn’t smile when they see Sake is a cold-hearted ninnymuffin.
We brought her with us to the skilled nursing facility where my dad is staying and it was amazing to see the faces of the other patients completely light up at the sight of Sake. I have a hunch that some of those patients hadn’t smiled in years. And all it took was one glance at Sake’s adorable face to brighten their day.
Is it even possible for anyone to not love this mug?
In other news, I found my second grey hair today. Okay, so it’s not really news, but everyone in the house found it quite amusing that it’s not just grey, but also curly. I have a head full of straight dark brown hair, and one grey curly hair. My mom was wondering how I found it among the thousands that populate my head. I’m wondering how it’s gone unnoticed for so long. This thing has obviously been growing for quite some time. Having been brainwashed by the media to think that wrinkles and grey hair will forever be my mortal enemies, I could probably complain a good bit about getting old, but I have the feeling that it would probably sound a lot like a skinny person complaining about feeling fat. The upside, if there is any, is that with a few random grey hairs I’m starting to look more like my dog. And she’s pretty darn cute.
