The vicious 6.5 lb. bundle of muscle and fang accompanied me up to SF today, again. This whole SF to LA thing is getting rather old. I feel like a ping pong ball in the most boring and bland game of ping pong ever. But you know gave me a right giggle during the trip? Stopping at McDonald’s and peeing. In my van. While I watched oblivious future heart attack victims come and go from McDonald’s completely unaware that anyone was dropping trou a mere 3 feet away. Tinted windows for the win!
Are you wondering why I opted to use my kitty litter bucket instead of using the restroom at McDonald’s? Two reasons—the line was about 10 people long for two stalls, and I’m pretty sure that my bucket is about a thousand times cleaner than any surface inside any McDonald’s bathroom. Plus, I didn’t have to close Sake up in her carrier in order to bring her inside. Instead, she patiently and curiously stared at me from the passenger seat as I did my thing.
I guess I should mention that I do intend to put up more window shades, it just hasn’t happened yet. And I am not an exhibitionist.
It occurs to me that the next time I drive down the 5, Gypsy should be a lot more than just a giant van containing a bucket and some kitty litter. Next time she will hopefully contain sleeping quarters. She’ll have a fresh water tank installed, and maybe even a grey water tank. She’ll have a place for a charge controller, a battery bank, and maybe even a sink. We’ll have to see how things go, but that’s the hope.
