I’m up to my ears in design work, so the van work is still on the back burner. At least, work on Gypsy is on the back burner. Work on Manny—er, actually now her name is Wanda—has just begun. Jef’s mom named her that. Hm… I don’t know if Jef knows that we named his van yet. Someone should probably tell him.
So anyway, Jef and his uncle commenced poking around the engine and seeing if anything needed to be repaired or replaced. Jef’s uncle pulled back a loose hose, glanced inside, and saw what appeared to be a crumpled piece of paper. It felt like a filter of some sort. He almost left it alone because he thought that perhaps it was supposed to be there, until he saw… a tail.
A rat. Not just a rat, a mummified rat. I’m no car expert, but I kind of feel like if an engine can run just fine with a rat clogging one of its hoses, it must be a pretty darn good engine.
Jef continues to fiddle with his new hobby, and I continue to work my tooshie off. Fingers, actually. Lots of clicking going on here. I have a deadline on Wednesday, and then I have some additional work that will take up the rest of the week, so if everything goes smoothly, there won’t be anything to write about for a while. So I guess that means all hell is going to break loose between now and Wednesday. Wish me luck.
