There is no right or wrong way to be a van dweller, that much I know. Some people do it with insulation, but without plumbing. Some people do it with plumbing, but without solar. You get the idea. I chose to do it with … everything.
And I can make excuse after excuse for why I’ve bought so much freaking stuff for my van, but the reality is that I simply enjoy a) having neat stuff and b) making my life comfortable and easy.
So I put a gigantic list together of all the stuff that I’ve bought for my van in the past 2 years, and I put it all on a page called The Gear Page! Hopefully it’ll come in handy for some budding van dwellers/van conversion DIYers out there. I’ve listed all of my solar gear, plumbing, tools—the works. In fact, the solar gear list is a great starting point for anyone thinking about mounting solar panels on a van. It’s way more complete than any other list I’ve found on any solar installer website.
I also updated The Materials Page, which is slightly less product-oriented than The Gear Page. The Materials Page lists building materials, what kind of wood I used, finishes, etc. If you have any questions at all about any of the products or materials I used, shoot me an email or leave the question in the comments section and I’ll make sure it gets answered.
Okay, check it out!
