Goal Zero?
« on: May 01, 2016, 01:09:09 PM »
i saw the other post about 200 watt solar panels vs 2 100 watt panels and that got me thinking because i really have no idea how solar works. what do you guys think about a Goal Zero system? apparently famous climber alex honnold uses one. is it a good product for those of us who know nothing about solar?

na, you don't need a goal zero system. it's real easy to diy. not hard. i promise you you can do it. goal zero is way more expensive than it needs to be.

Renogy.com sells complete systems, all components designed to work together. And they'll help you on the phone, too, with tech support.

Like others said, Goal Zero is overpriced for what it is. However, if you really aren't the tinkering type, Goal Zero products can be the perfect solution... just be prepared to pay a premium.
